Sudoku Original: Daily Battle · Effective date: October 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Sudoku Original: Daily Battle ("the game"), made by Scorpion Labs ("we", "us", "our"), uses, why, and the choices you have. It adds the details for this game to the Scorpion Labs Privacy Policy.
1. Playing without an account
You can play every mode without signing in. Your games, settings, statistics, levels, favourites, collections, Daily Challenge progress, profile name and avatar are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes them.
When you first open the game, you can also enter your date of birth on the profile page. This is optional: you can leave it empty or skip the page. It is stored with your profile on your device, and is not used for advertising or shared with anyone.
The game creates a random player ID on your device (for example "SD-AB12CD34"). It does not identify you personally and is used for online battles.
2. Optional Sign in with Google and cloud backup
Signing in is optional. If you choose Sign in with Google, we receive from Google your Google account's unique ID and your email address. We use them only to recognise your account and to back up and restore your game progress across devices.
On our server we keep: the link between your Google account ID and your player ID, your email address, the dates you first and last signed in, and a copy of your game progress and profile (the information listed in section 1, including your date of birth if you entered one).
We do not receive or store your Google password, and we do not use your email address for marketing. We do not sell, rent or share your Google account information with anyone. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. Online battles
When you play an online battle, our server receives your player ID, the display name you chose, the room you join, and your progress and result in that battle. Other players in the same room see your display name, progress and result. To make sure nobody else can use your player ID, the server keeps a secret key for it, stored only as a one-way hash. Your history of past battles is kept on your device.
4. Advertising
The game is free and shows ads through Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads that give extra hints, lives or themes. Google may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address (used to estimate your approximate location) and how you interact with ads, in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable laws, to show and measure ads and prevent fraud. Where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent first (Google's User Messaging Platform), and you can change your choice later.
See how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device's settings.
5. Notifications
If you allow them, Daily Challenge reminders are scheduled on your device. No information is sent to us for this.
6. Data security and retention
All traffic between the game and our server is encrypted (HTTPS and secure WebSockets). Our server runs on a private server we administer. We keep your account link and cloud backup until you delete your account or ask us to delete them.
7. Deleting your account and data
In the game, open Settings → Account → Delete Account. This immediately deletes the link to your Google account and your cloud backup from our server. You can also ask us to delete them by following the steps on our account deletion page. Progress saved on your device stays there until you clear the game's data or uninstall it.
8. Children's privacy
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the game, please contact us so that we can delete it.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
